Beginning Phonics and Preparation

Rubber Stamps provide another medium to explore the alphabet and beginning word building. Scratch Art is a material I highly
recommend to develop pencil grip. I know a child whose mother started him on scratch art at 18 months and by 2 years of age
he had perfect pencil grip - something many 5 year-old still struggle with. She allowed him to use the material as he chose
and she was not insistent that he scratched in the design perfectly. For preschool children it's all about learning through
the process perfection in the product.
