1). Geography
Below are samples of our Montessori Maps
- the patterns will available soon. Two colored file
folders opened side by side make up each map. They can
fold back in half for storage. These maps are exactly the
same size as the traditional Montessori wooden maps. The background is laminated
and the pieces are colored with crayon then laminated and
cut out. The pieces are outlined with black permanent
marker (as a puzzle piece would be) on the background.
Holes are punched with a hammer and awl, then brads are
used to connect the pieces to the background. On the
individual country maps the brads are strategically placed
where the capital of each country or state is.
